I am sad to say Ms. Dockus didn't teach us much about how to answer questions for the reading segment, I owe that to my former CPSS teacher Ms. Farnelli! All of last year and the last half of my freshman year, she taught my class how to answer questions like the ACT had for us. Although she never had us practice doing those questions in class, learning how to do them over and over again really helped me finish with time to check my answers! The main skill she taught me was how to skim correctly. After that would be process of elimination. Even though most teachers explain this to their students for multiple choice questions, the repetition always helped me.
I now turn to my fellow readers and ask this; what study skills help and/ or helped you take the ACT?
